Lema M. Abeng is an entrepreneur, success mentor, author and publisher of DUNIA Magazine who is dedicated to inspiring greatness in others. She has shared her story in many parts of the world where she has trained and mentored business-minded individuals on what it takes to be successful leaders.
At age 25 not long after graduating from University, Lema started her first small business in her home country Cameroon. A few years after in 2001, she relocated to the United States where she again chose business ownership. Determined to pursue her dreams, Lema would attain the level of Senior Vice President in a Rochester, New York based Network Marketing company in 2007, her sales team expanding internationally into Sweden, Finland, Nigeria and Belgium.
Lema believes that everyone has it in them to be successful if they are willing to work hard, work smart, and hold themselves to high standards. These beliefs are the basis on which she mentors individuals and helps them overcome hurdles in business and in life.
In 2010, inspired by her travels around the world, Lema founded DUNIA Magazine, an international People, Culture and Lifestyle publication whose vision is to “connect across cultures”. Through her work with the magazine as publisher, editor and contributor, and on her blog and YouTube channel, she continues to be a strong driving force behind the dissemination of powerful life-changing information.
In 2017 her first book Success On Your Terms: How To Defy The Odds And Live Your Best Life was published—she believes this to have been a high point in her professional life and looks forward to writing more books. Her second book How To Work For Yourself: Discover The Success Principles I Learned From Being Self-Employed For 20 Years was released in 2020.
Lema is also the owner of Reliable Refunds, a professional tax preparation company that caters to individuals and small businesses.
