Lema M. Abeng is an entrepreneur, success mentor, author and publisher of DUNIA Magazine who is dedicated to fostering leadership in others. She has shared her story in many parts of the world where she trains and mentors aspiring leaders and business-minded individuals on the principles of becoming successful champions.

At the age of 25, shortly after completing her university education, Lema launched her first small business in her native country Cameroon. In 2001, she moved to the United States, where she once again pursued business ownership. Driven by her aspirations, Lema would attain the level of Senior Vice President in a Rochester, New York based Network Marketing company in 2007, her sales team expanding internationally into Sweden, Finland, Nigeria and Belgium.

Lema is a firm believer that success is attainable for anyone who is prepared to work hard, work smart, and hold themselves to high personal and professional standards. These convictions form the foundation of her mentorship, guiding individuals as they navigate challenges in both life and business.

In 2010, inspired by her travels around the world, Lema founded DUNIA Magazine, an international People, Culture and Lifestyle publication whose vision is to “connect across cultures”. Through her work with the magazine as publisher, editor and contributor, and on her YouTube channel Best You With Lema, she has become a significant force for the dissemination of impactful, transformative information and trainings.

In 2017 her first book Success On Your Terms: How To Defy The Odds And Live Your Best Life was published—she believes this to have been a high point in her professional life. Her second book How To Work For Yourself: Discover The Success Principles I Learned From Being Self-Employed For 20 Years was released in 2020. She is currently working on her third book.

Lema is also the owner of Reliable Refunds, a professional Tax Preparation/Accounting firm that caters to individuals and small businesses.

Lema has a passion for working with women. She understands the challenges of balancing family and dreams, and remains steadfast in encouraging women to live out the purpose for which they were created.

Lema lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her family. She holds a Master of Science degree in Accounting.
